Built for Frederick Barnheisel in the early 1890's. The property was/is located in Chicago's Grand Boulevard community on the South Side. The street was originally named Grand Boulevard, then South Parkway and finally to Martin Luther King jr Drive. The photo of the left dates from a period publication and was taken in 1894. The photo on the right was taken in Nov 1958. The property was demolished and the land is still vacant.
